Free On-Site Field Trips

Fountainhead offers various on-site "field trips" at no additional cost. These programs are held each year and are available to currently enrolled children. They are presented by outside educational organizations during a series of visits to the school.

• ZooMobile

We welcome the ZooMobile to campus every winter, usually in January. The students have a close encounter with a variety of animals and begin to learn about animal classes with experts from the Oakland Zoo. Past visitors have included a hedgehog, a rabbit, a turtle and more! You can learn more about this program at www.oaklandzoo.org/education-programs/zoomobile.

• InsectMobile

Every spring we welcome the InsectMobile to our schools. San Francisco's Insect Discovery Lab comes to campus to show students how insects impact our environment and eco-system. Children get a hands-on opportunity to learn about millipedes, beetles, walking sticks and other anthropods. You can learn more about their program at www.savenature.org.

After-School Programs

Fountainhead also offers after-school programs at some of our campuses. These programs involve an additional cost and are subject to change at any time. They are held by screened teachers and are contracted by parents separate from Fountainhead's programs. Please see below for what is available by campus.
