Choosing the best class for your child can seem like an overwhelming responsibility. Whether you are new to Fountainhead or re-enrolling for next year, our teachers can offer invaluable guidance. We want your child to be happy and successful at Fountainhead, just as you do.
The first step to selecting a class is visiting the classrooms and meeting the teachers. When you make an appointment, a class or classes will be suggested based on your child’s age. Montessori classes mix ages according to children’s development and how they learn. Some Fountainhead campuses offer Toddler classes for children starting at 18 months, and all campuses have Prep (two to three-and-a-half years old), Preschool/PreK (three to five years old), and PreK/Kindergarten (four to six years old) programs.
At the time of your visit, the teacher will discuss how children at her class level learn and the types of activities the children do. She may offer her advice on the best placement for your child. If the campus has more than one class at your child's age level, you may visit them all and meet the teachers. You may choose a class because you like the teacher, because of the schedule available, or any other factor. Fountainhead teachers are well trained and experienced, so we believe you and your child will be happy in any of our classes that meet the child’s developmental needs.
Registration for continuing students begins in February, and your child’s teacher will give you her recommendation for the coming Summer and Fall in late January. She will base this recommendation on her knowledge of your child, her experience, and what goes on in each class. She welcomes discussing your child and her recommendations with you at any time of the year.
As a parent, you know your child best. We look forward to working with you for the success and happiness of your child.
